This is what I look like looking for jobs on Craigslist. I have this strange nervous heavy feeling in the bottom on my stomach and not even the sweet voices of Simon and Garfunkel is easing this discomfort.
It's been approximately 2 months since I was "let go". Just like a break-up, I'm still bitter and trying to questions what went wrong. I know what went wrong, I lost passion for it. Simple as that. I was so excited when I first got fired. I thought: finally I'll have a chance to find something I really love. I wish it was that simple. Everything kind of has gone to shit. My "connections" have fallen through. My unemployment has been put on hold and I leave my apartment maybe twice a week.
I can't say that everything has been awful. I've had 4 interviews and 2 of them have had follow up interviews, which is says a lot about my potential. There is this feeling of helplessness and a slight desire for wanting things to be the way they were before. "The way they were before"? Jesus, Danit you sound like an idiot! You hated working for those people and dealing with their bullshit on a daily basis.
Since I have not updated my blog in about a year, here are a few bullet point about what's going on with me:
- Brody, the house dog, has become my life partner and now chooses to sleep with me at night instead of his owner.
- 2 weeks ago I went on an awful date with an idiot. After the date while being tipsy I sent Scott a text. He didn't reply. Last weekend he sent me a text at 3am wondering if I was still awake. In my many attempts to contact him again still no response.
- Latest haircut is amazing and I can really show off my curly hair.
- My dad has been in contact with me a lot since he left rehab. I gave him as much support as I could while he was in there and now he is returning it.
- I've been cooking a lot lately. My Butternut Squash soup is pretty amazing. Although my favorite new vegetable is Green beans.
- Still difficult living with 4 other people, but are all getting a long better. There is also prospects of redecorating.
